SOFTWARE AND HARDWARE ARCHITECTURE The InfoDyne expert system or European Label System (ELS) is available in two architecture types: -Single-user architecture, -Multiple-user architecture. InfoDyne offers two types of architecture: It enables a single user to use the software, as opposed to the “multiple-user” versions, which are also referred to as “network” versions. Of course, several user computers may be configured, but only one person can use the software at a time.
Multiple-user architecture
It enables several people to work with the software simultaneously. The maximum number of simultaneous users is determined by the number of software licenses you purchase, with the understanding that each license is for one user.
Depending on the location of the users, we will suggest the most appropriate configuration: - Installation on a local area network (LAN) if all users are on the same site, - Installation on a wide area network (WAN) if the users are located on different sites.
Platforms Supported & Technology Implemented
- Standalone (32/64 bits) : Windows 7, Windows Vista, XP
- LAN Network:
Server (32/64 bits) : 2K3, 2K8, 2K8 R2 Clients (32/64 bits) : Windows 7, Windows Vista, XP
- WAN Network:
Server (32/64 bits) : 2K3 with Terminal Server or Citrix, 2K8/2K8 R2 with RDS or Citrix Clients : TS or RDS thru RDP, thin client.
Hardware SpecificationsA machine’s hardware configuration (server or user computer) also depends on other needs, such as what other software is used on this machine. Depending on these needs, a more powerful processor or a larger quantity of memory may be chosen. Because InfoDyne software still operates on old versions of Windows (Windows 95, Windows 98) there is no a mandatory requirements regarding the processor type or amount of memory. Required disk space (including the databases): Allow between 100 and 300 MB for initial installation. The range is primarily due to the varying size of the database depending on the number of languages purchased. Once the software is running, you can expect an increase in the size of the databases (an additional 100 to 300 MB depending on the quantity of records created over time).
Installation and UpdatesThe software and regulatory updates are installed from a CD-ROM accompanied by an information letter. Other updates for minor developments can be downloaded via the Internet. Data Transfer: Importing and Exporting DataUtility programs for importing and exporting data are delivered standard, and can be used to automatically transfer, in standard text format (ASCII, ANSI, XML), the data from your pre-existing computer system to the machine dedicated to regulatory matters, and vice versa (preparations, semi-finished products, raw materials, and others).
It is also possible, as an option, to export the SDSs produced for distribution in various formats, such as
