THE INFODYNE EXPERT SYSTEM
20 Years of ExperienceIn matters of chemical risk prevention, European regulations offer a consistent, realistic system for toxicology assessments for a great number of formulas in the chemical industry. These regulations are continually adapted according to scientific and technical progress, which requires manufacturers to make immediate, systematic updates. The InfoDyne expert system, created in 1989, provides manufacturers with the expertise of a specialized team for regulatory management and user assistance. The InfoDyne founders always work closely with manufacturers to coordinate regulatory requirements with the realities of on-site working conditions, while remaining both efficient and user-friendly.
The Manufacturer’s Responsibilities
The authorities are requiring an increasing level of detail on Safety Data Sheets (SDSs).
REACH regulation 1907/2006 insists upon the responsibility of all operators in the industry (manufacturers, resellers and importers). In this context, all manufacturers must offer their clients completely consistent SDS labels.
Only the InfoDyne expert system is comprehensively designed to provide manufacturers with the high-performance well-adapted tools they need. European legislation is constantly evolving.
The European Directive on the classification of dangerous chemical substances has evolved from the 10th adaptation in 1990 to the 29th adaptation in 2004.
Traditional calculations for preparation labels were completely revamped in 2001 after a series of four adaptations of the initial version. Shipping, exposure limit values, usage restrictions and environmental regulations change regularly.
The InfoDyne system integrates all of these changes with industrial technical requirements, depending on the raw materials and formulas.
The General Harmonised System (GHS) of classification: Moving toward new systems of classifying and labelling chemicals
The major challenge over the next few years will be the implementation of the General Harmonised System (GHS) which will result in a new system of classifying and labelling chemicals. In order to gradually familiarise you with these new regulations, InfoDyne is currently able to offer you an overview of what the future of labelling may become for your products, according to the laws being written for the European GHS project.
